Internet Marketing Techniques Part 3 – Take Massive Action Now!

It is January 3rd already and I’m sure all of you set into place your new year’s resolutions and have probably broken them already.  Not that I’m being negative, but I am a realist and I do know the law of averages.  The key to keeping a resolution is to keep pursuing the dream no matter what.  You will have setbacks but you MUST get back on your feet and resume your previous course of action.  By the way, the key word here is ACTION.  If you have a particular goal that you want to accomplish, then you must take MASSIVE ACTION in that direction otherwise, you won’t accomplish too much.

Whenever I want to accomplish a particular goal or I have a lot of work to do, I make lists on my white board which is over my desk.  I then check them off one by one so that I ensure that I have a clear set of objectives and goals lined up for me to accomplish.  Now if you have a bunch of goals, then you can put numbers and stars next to the most pressing ones and knock them off in a prioritized fashion.  But no matter what you do, you must take HUGE LEAPS of ACTION in attacking these tasks and goals, otherwise you will get very depressed.

I recently saw a program on the Discovery Channel call “I Shouldn’t Be Alive” (If you haven’t seen the show, then check out a clip here: I Shouldn’t Be Alive)wherein this young guy took his father on an Alaskan adventure by themselves.  To cut a long story short, they tipped their boat into a freezing river and became stranded in the Alaskan wilderness with few provisions.  Considering the situation being as dangerous as it was, I can understand the fear that the men must have faced.  I lived in Alaska for 6 years and I talked extensively to people that made their living in the wilderness, and the one thing they told me was that you have to know what you are doing out there you could very easily find yourself dead.

The point that I wanted to make is that when the young man and his father found themselves stranded they sat down and started looking at pictures of their families.  They started to get very depressed because they were in a very dangerous situation.  However, they recovered when the set themselves to work.  That is the key to survival in any situation because motion beats meditation every time! If you are depressed about your business or if you have lost your job, whatever the situation is, you must find a direction and take action.  Laying around on the couch is going to depress the heck out of you and you will find yourself thinking very unhealthy thoughts.

My favorite marketing Guru, Dan Kennedy has a formula for beating this problem.  He has an incredible book called “The Ultimate Success Secret” and I believe, the only way you can get a copy is by going to his site and ordering it.  Anyway, I have had a copy of it for years and it is my favorite book, I read it several times a year and it really gives me a huge boost.  In it, Mr. Kennedy has a formula that is fantastic and has great real world principles.  Here it is:

CONTROL=RESPONSIBILITY & RESPONSIBILITY =CONTROL

It is a very basic, yet powerful concept.  If you want more control of your life, then take on more responsibility.  If you take on more responsibility in your life then you will have much greater control.

I have had friends and relatives complain big time about how others have gotten ahead of them in life.  Well, when you specifically ask them what they have done what actions they have taken, they can’t give you any specifics, because they haven’t done Ka-Ka. ( That’s right, I said KA -KA).  I personally believe that God has set up the universe with a perfect order that transcends everything we see and do.  If we are inactive and unmotivated to do certain things that are vital to our lives the we get nothing.  If we plot a course and consistantly move toward that goal, we will get results.  Now, I am no expert on God or the universe and the way it works, but I can see that if you have a definite purpose and move toward a specific goal, then you will eventually reap the benefits you want.

You have to have the attitude that NOTHING is gonna stop you from getting what you want out of life.  Not lack of education, not physical impairments, not age or anything else.

YOU CAN ACCOMPLISH GREAT THINGS IF YOU TAKE ACTION !!!!!
